EXPERIENCE
1999 - 2004 UNITED STATES ATTORNEY'S OFFICE FOR THE DISTRICT OF MARYLAND
Baltimore, Maryland

Position - Assistant United States Attorney

Responsibilities - Prosecution of narcotics and firearm cases. Supervision of complex narcotics investigations, including the application and execution of court-order wiretapping. Pursuit of criminal and civil forfeiture of drug-related assets.
1985 - 1999 BALTIMORE COUNTY STATE'S ATTORNEY'S OFFICE
Towson, Maryland
1990 - 1999 Position - Investigations Division Team Captain

Responsibilities - Provided supervision and counsel to other attorneys in the Investigations Division while maintaining a full case load. Oversaw the intake and assignment of white-collar crime complaints. Prosecuted homicide and arson cases as assigned. Cross-designated as Special Assistant United States Attorney, as well as Special Assistant State's Attorney for Harford County, due to joint drug investigations and prosecutions.

1987 - 1990 Position - Investigations Division Assistant

Responsibilities - Handled all narcotics-related cases occurring in the western half of Baltimore County, from investigation through final disposition. Worked closely with the Baltimore County Police Department's Narcotics Squad in all on-going investigations in that area, including several court-ordered wiretaps. Worked on joint investigations with the United States Attorney's Office, other State Attorney's Offices, as well as other drug enforcement agencies. Also handled prosecution of several contract murder cases.

1986 - 1987 Position - Circuit Court Assistant

Responsibilities - Worked on a trial team at the circuit court level. Prosecuted all types of serious felony cases, including murder, rape, child abuse, and robbery. Gained experience in both court and jury trials.

1985 - 1986 Position - District Court Assistant

Responsibilities - Worked as an Assistant at the five District Court locations in Baltimore County. Extensive dockets consisted mainly of misdemeanor and serious traffic offenses. Gained extensive experience in court trials.
